Anomaly Ledger collects short case files on cryptids, unidentified aerial phenomena, out-of-place artifacts, and related folklore. The tone is that of a curious archivist: patient, sourced where possible, and wary of spectacle.

Purpose

This site exists for entertainment and intellectual curiosity. It is not a news outlet, investigative bureau, or claim of scientific authority. Entries are original rewrites based on publicly available historical and popular sources.

Status labels

When a status is set on a case file, it means:

• Hoax — widely recognized as fabricated or staged.
• Folklore — transmitted story or tradition; not treated as verified fact.
• Open — unresolved or contested; evidence incomplete.
• Cited — primarily a summary of named historical or archival sources.

Ethics & disclaimer

We do not present rumor as confirmed fact. Hoaxes and folklore are labeled when known. Open cases stay open. Source lines point readers toward public records and well-known references rather than asserting secret knowledge. Geographic tags (for example Sonoran or Arizona locales) may appear on individual files; they are metadata, not a brand claim.
