PURSUE batch 6 redistributes a digitization of Navy photographer Delbert Newhouse’s 16mm Kodachrome shot near Tremonton, Utah, on 2 July 1952. Blue Book reviewed the film in period; public captions note that surviving print material after roughly fifty-five seconds includes unrelated sewing-equipment footage — a provenance gap that belongs in the file, not the footnotes.

Old film, new portal

This is not a new 2026 event. It is archival media re-entering circulation through a modern DoD channel, with NARA’s Blue Book motion-picture series as the longer warehouse context. Status open on identity of the bright objects; cited on custody of the reel’s public derivatives.

Updates

  1. Update

Re-checked DVIDS DOW-UAP-PR159 (posted 18 Sep 2026): the public digitization of Newhouse’s 2 Jul 1952 Tremonton Kodachrome remains live. Official caption still notes limited detail, a sewing-equipment splice after ~55 seconds, and missing Idaho mountain companion footage referenced via D102. Old primary as new access — not a new 2026 event; identity unresolved.
